Dr. Ron M. Ask
Providing Oral Health Care for TMJ Treatments and Complete Smile Makeovers
A 1977 graduate of the Loma Linda School of Dentistry, Dr. Ask received the Omicron Kappa Epsilon award for being in the top 10% of his class. While in dental school he also received the outstanding achievement award from the American Academy of Periodontology, and has also been a recipient of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Gold Medal Award.
Dr. Ask feels strongly about providing comprehensive and advanced dentistry to his patients and is passionate about his pursuit of excellence when it comes to his work. Always a groundbreaker and innovator, Dr. Ask first incorporated orthodontics and functional facial orthopedics into his practice over thirty years ago.
Every year, Dr. Ask and his partners teach a group practice management seminar at their alma mater. He has lectured to his peers on a number of occasions on the topic of “Opening the Vertical Dimension, Made Simple” and has published an article by the same name.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Sacramento Valley Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the International Association of Orthodontics and the Sacramento District Dental Society. In 1980 he became a charter member of the American Association of Functional Orthodontics.
Over the years Dr. Ask has enjoyed providing desperately needed dentistry in such places as Nicaragua, Mexico, the Marshall Islands, Costa Rica, Peru and Armenia. He also enjoys attending dental continuing education classes, gardening, and traveling for fun.
Dr. Ask is honored to be the husband of more than thirty five years to his beautiful wife, Jeanine. They have a son, Jerhet, who is also a practicing dentist here at Jackson Creek Dental Group, and a daughter, Lawryn, who is currently in dental school at Loma Linda School of Dentistry. Yes, the cassette tapes played in their cribs seem to be paying off!
Ashley, Registered Dental Hygienist
Ashley loves dentistry and has been a patient at Jackson Creek Dental Group since she was 11 years old. She always had a love of teeth, but she knew she wanted to go into this field after coming here for so long and seeing how everyone was so happy and excited about doing dentistry. Ashley graduated from Carrington College California in Sacramento in January of 2015, and went on to receive her hygiene license in March. She completed her internship here at our office and we hired her in June, 2015.
Because of her wonderful experiences coming to the dentist as a child, Ashley wants to make sure she passes that along to the children she will be seeing as she grows her practice here at our office.
Ashley loves the outdoors: wake boarding, camping, fishing and hanging out with friends and family. You might also find her at the shooting range doing a bit of target practicing or shooting clays. She is quite the sports woman!
Katie, Patient Coordinator
Katie came to our practice as a Patient Coordinator in 2010 and is a real asset to our group. She was new to the dental field after teaching fourth grade and middle school at Community Christian School in Pine Grove. She also spent time as an Accounts Receivable Supervisor and Office/Dispatch Manager. Katie earned an AA degree from Delta College before attending California State University, Stanislaus.
Katie was born and raised in Amador County, leaving us for a few years to see how life in Austin, Texas would be. You will find her reading crime novels or anything to do with history in her spare time. She also loves to camp and do a little fishing along the way. Katie is very active in her church and keeps her family the number one priority in her life.
Lorraine, Registered Dental Assistant
Lorraine has been in the dental field for many years and recently joined our office in April, 2015. She graduated from Carrington College in Stockton as a Dental Assistant and went right on to get her RDA license. Lorraine came to dentistry from the retail world and brought with her great customer service skills and a can do attitude. Before joining Jackson Creek Dental Group she went on to our website and was so excited to see all the services we provide our patients and how many long term employees we had, which she felt spoke highly of the doctors and management team.
When Lorraine is not at work she enjoys camping with her family and having fire pot BBQs. She also loves to travel and do last minute, unplanned road trips. She also spends time doing scrapbooking and collages, and volunteers with the American Cancer Society.
Maggie, Registered Dental Assistant
Maggie joined Jackson Creek Dental Group in September 2012, right after she graduated as a dental assistant from Sacramento City College in June. After graduating she went right on to become an RDA and did her externship here at Jackson Creek Dental Group. Maggie said it was great opportunity and she got a good variety of experience working with all of our doctors and staff. She came on board with us as a support assistant and is excited to now be an RDA with Dr. Ask and his team where she can continue learning and enhancing her dental skills and career.
When Maggie is not at work, you will find her at the gym or spending time with her family and dogs. She also loves English horseback riding (Dressage) and Vaulting, where you do acrobats on your horse. Maggie has received four First Place ribbons in English riding categories.
